Children’s Church

Sunday, September 27thONLINE Children’s Church The videos are now available staring at 8:00am each week. You can have your child watch it live before worship and then have them sing with us in church. OR you can start your child in church with us and then when we get to the sermon, you can send them off with a device to watch the playback of Children’s Church video. Whatever works best for your family during the stay-at-home order.

Sunday, September 27thIn-Person Children’s Church We have begun a our two Children’s Church classes for all ages at the outdoor worship gathering, weather permitting. Students will sing with their families and then be dismissed to go to the carport during the sermon. Each child will have a chair and will be socially distant from the other students.

Life Groups

We will resume the following groups in Fellowship Hall, each person at their own round table. All socially distant from each other. No masks are necessary, but are permissible. Because not all the classmates will rejoin right away, our study will not be from our main book, but a miniseries in some other book of the Bible.

Sunday, September 27th – Pastor Tim’s James study group. Join us from 6-7pm.

Wednesday, September 30th – Pastor Tim’s Hebrews study group. Join us from 10am-11am.

Tuesday, September 29th – Antioch School from 6-8pm.

Saturday, October 3rd – Men’s Group is studying the book “Is God Really in Control?”. We meet every other Saturday at 8am.

Friday, October 9th – Pastor Gene’s study group on John’s Gospel. We meet at the Macikonycz home on Friday nights. Get more information at church.

AWANA Restarts in October

We are excited to announce that AWANA will begin for the 2020-21 school year in just a few weeks. We will be basing our meeting dates on the number of registered students. If we have a smaller group, we will meet weekly. If a larger group registers, will will split into two groups and each will meet every other week. With this plan, we need families to register ahead. We will not be accepting walk-in registrations due to COVID and accommodating CDC and state recommendations. Students and staff will need to wear facemasks while inside.

We’ve been working behind the scenes to prepare finishing the basement below the worship center. We’ve assembled the elders, deacons, and ministry team leaders to discuss the usage of that space for ministry and they came up with a layout for classrooms and storage rooms with a common large area in the center. Mark Hargrove, as facilities manager, has begun dialoguing with the Township, an architect, and mechanical engineer.
Finances: We have about $18,000 in savings to begin the work on this project. For the remainder of 2020, any offerings designated “Building” on your offering envelope will go to the basement construction. Gifts given to “Building” before now have been going towards mortgage principal reduction. We plan to do the labor with volunteers from the church.
Pray with us for the success of this new ministry space!

Summer Outdoor Worship
September at 9:30am
October at 10:00am

With the health of our community slowly improving, we have resumed our worship gatherings. In order to preserve everyone’s health, we will continue meeting outdoors. Now that it is getting cooler, we are changing the gathering time to 10:00am for the month of October. The sun will be lower and there will be more shade available. We are moving the stage area into the corner so that it is in the shade and to increase its visibility from our western hill.

We have also provided canopy tents to increase the amount of shade in the yard. If your family owns a canopy, you can feel free to bring your own. As we have been doing, you can bring lawn chairs for your family. The church will provide white plastic chairs for anyone who needs seating. Some can sit by the shed under tree shade. Others can sit by the basement under canopies. Still others can still sit on the western hill under canopies.

More people might want to remain in their cars with the a/c on. We can accommodate 5-6 cars in the top lot on the west side of our property. Another six can park in the lower lot by the shed.
