Operation Christmas Child

Good News, Great Joy!

Operation Christmas Child is a worldwide evangelistic outreach ministry of Samaritan's Purse.  Each year, churches, organizations, and individuals pack a shoebox filled with clothes, toys, hygiene, and school supplies for children all around the world.  Every gift goes to one child, but because of that one gift, eight people hear the Gospel.  Every thirty-seconds, two people are saved, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

In 2022, the 200 millionth shoebox was given to child.  Boys and girls who receive a gift are also invited to join The Greatest Journey discipleship class, to grow in their faith in Christ.

Our Packing Party

Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church collects items throughout the year in preparation for our Packing Party in November.  Each month, we emphasize a different kid of item; one month it may be small stuffed toys, another month it may be school supplies.  Items are donated into our giant shipping crate in Fellowship Hall.   Then we gather in November to pack hundreds of shoeboxes full with all our gifts.  Last year, we packed just over 900 shoeboxes.

We Are Central Drop-Off for the Lehigh Valley

Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church is also the central drop-off site for all the drop-off sites in our region.  All the drop-off sites in the Lehigh Valley fill donated shoeboxes into large brown cartons and relay them to our church.  We load them onto a tractor trailer and then they get sent to the Mid-Atlantic processing center in Baltimore, Maryland.
